Conference Background
The Somali One Health Conference (SOHC) is a premier national and international scientific platform that brings together diverse stakeholders to address critical health challenges through an integrated One Health approach.
Hosted by the Abrar Research and Training Centre (ARACHTI), SOHC has established itself as a vital forum for knowledge exchange, policy dialogue, and collaborative action in Somalia’s health sector.
The 2026 edition focuses on Innovative One Health Approaches for AMR and Pandemic Readiness, reflecting the urgent need to strengthen health systems, combat antimicrobial resistance, and enhance preparedness for emerging infectious disease threats.
SOHC 2022
The inaugural conference established the foundation for One Health dialogue in Somalia, bringing together national stakeholders.
SOHC 2024
The second edition expanded regional and international participation, strengthening partnerships and policy commitments.
